Ryan Leslie

Have you checked Ryan Leslie out yet? This is one super talented dude. I was really looking forward to hearing this and didn't even realize the album was out yet.

I can't wait for The Dream album and the Jim Jones album to release. Should be soon since both albums are dropping in March. Are you ready? They'll be here...

This is a short interview with Cam'Ron done by MTV. Cam said he called Zeke's phone the other day and Jim Jones picked up. They spoke for 10-15 minutes and talked about linking up again in the future. Cam also says Hell Rell and JR Writer have been hitting him up on the regular trying to work together again. No contact with Juelz...SMH. Cam said he is just going to do him for the time being, but he isn't sure on what the future will hold for The Diplomats.

If you couldn't tell by the content in my blog over the past, Kanye West is one of my favorite rapper/singer/musicians/whatever the hell you want to call him these days. Tonight VH1 aired his Storytellers...which is basically a concert and him talking in between explaining the songs, what he was thinking when recording them, etc. If you are a Kanye fan and missed it, I just caught you up with all the songs above.

I'm curious to see where Ye' go's from here on the music tip. Dude can still obviously rap his ass off as he proved on the recent songs "Walking on the Moon" with The Dream and "Flight School" with T-Pain. I LOVEDDDDD 808's and Heartbreak but I am ready for the rapping Ye' to be back.

Oh yeah...he needs to lose that Frullet (Fro Mullet) ASAP. Shit is looking wacker and wacker by the day. Jesus. And did you see his bald headed girlfriend? Pics to come soon...

Just In Time's Obsession...

Wow, so over the years I've always wanted to pull all my shoes out of the boxes and take some pictures. It's a pretty big task and there never is really enough space to put them all together for picture sake. Since our 2nd bedroom is soon turning into Brooklyn's bedroom right now there is nothing in room. We are starting major projects in there tomorrow, so I figured last night was my last shot to do this for a while.

56 pairs of Jordans and 2 pairs of the first Lebron shoes in these pictures. I have been into Jordan's since I was a little kid, but started obsessively buying them around 2001 or so. Basically as soon as I had some disposable income it went to shoes. The large majority of these shoes are in great condition and still get put back in the box after every wear. If you are not a shoe head then you probably think I am crazy or something.

Most of the pics are of the collection, but I had to throw in a pair of my most favorite Jordan III White/Cement/Red that I have DS (not worn) and I picked up back about 8 or 9 years ago. I had to grab my cat Tux for the last pic of the collection because he kept trying to walk on my shoes and was starting to make me worry. LOL. I also posted a pic of a box of shoes from the past few years that have been used and abused on the basketball court and working at my old job.

My goal was to buy all the CDP Jordan's I wanted (a few of them were just plain ugly), but my buying habits screeched to a halt when Jill and I found out we were having a baby. :) So, there is a few I missed out on unfortunately but thats probably better off. My closet is completely filled with the way I have them stacked up now, so it looks like I am going to need to find some more room moving stuff around in the closet the next time I buy a pair...

Cam'Ron- I Use To Get It In Ohio

Cam is officially back and I couldn't be happier. Dude is dropping mad videos and new songs off his album Crime Pays that'll hit stores in May. Super low budget videos, but I'm not trippin'. I never realized how much of a fan of Killa I was until this fool came back from his hiatus.

It looks the possibility of a Diplomats reunion is no where in the near future. Diplomatic Immunity Volume 1 is one of my favorite CD's of all time. Cam, Juelz, and Jimmy....ahhhhh the good old days.

100 Styles and Running

100 Styles and Running is a newer brand of some dope original looking sneakers. They have been getting bigger and bigger in the last couple years and the co-sign from Nice Kicks should do them the justice they deserve. The feature on the Nice Kicks blog (check it out here) lists them as one of the up comers in the shoe game and definitely something to look out for in 2009. 50's Album Delayed...Again

Newsweek reports that 50 Cent says he won't release his "Before I Self Destruct" CD until Eminem's album — tentatively titled "Relapse" — sees the light of day.

"Right now I'm on a train, and the Em-choo-choo-car goes first. I think people forgot that I'm actually Eminem's artist because I've had so much success on my own and moved away from it," the 32-year-old multiplatinum rapper said in an interview Tuesday.

"Because Dre is mixing Em's album, Em will be completed entirely before we get a chance to finish up the pieces that me and Dre did together (for my album)," he added.

50 may have a long wait. While Eminem's CD is expected this year, no release date has been set.

But it's not the first time 50 has pushed back his album. The CD was expected to come out last December but was delayed. Back then, 50 said because elements of it weren't complete, so he set a March release date.

50 Cent on ESPN's First Take. He talks about a few different things regarding sports, but I'm glad to hear that since he is from New York he is loyal to his New York teams. That's the way it is suppose to be! When Lil' Wayne named teams from all over the globe and then some wack ass excuse of why he liked those teams I just shook my head. So weak. How does that happen?

Even when I was the hugest Michael Jordan fan on earth, I still said the Warriors were my favorite team (because they were). I liked and supported the Bulls (I loved Rodman too!) but they weren't my favorite team by any means.

Bay Area love over here....Warriors, Raiders and A's. AND I'll also root for the 49ers and Giants as long as they aren't playing one of my teams.

The Simpsons

Did anyone notice that new intro for The Simpsons in the episode last Sunday? Does anyone actually still watch The Simpsons? I know I do, but I don't know if it is because I think it is funny still or more out of devotion from all the years I've been a big fan. Regardless, the intro is now spiked up with some HD flavor and has the same old concept with some new twists and character appearances.

I have been DVR'ing all the old episodes on Channel 12 for years and finally had to turn off the series recording the other day. From time to time I would catch a new one I hadn't seen in a while, but that has been few and far between over the last few years. Plus they decided to take out the description of what the episode was about and instead put some generic description of the show for all episodes. No way I am going to go through every episode trying to see if I remember it or want to watch it again...

Bruised Knee Cap...

I was brought back to reality on perhaps one of the best snowboarding days ever after I fell and bashed my knee cap this past weekend. Kirkwood was awesome...no lines, sunny and TONS of fresh powder. I was riding through a huge open patch of powder, rode over a rock/boulder that was completely buried in snow and ended up smashing my knee super hard on it. I was SMASHING. That unfortunately ended the day and according to the doctor probably the next month or so of boarding. I just got it checked out today and they confirmed that it is a severely bruised knee cap. Figures it happens as soon as the snow gets good around here. Damn...

This isn't my x-ray above, nor does this x-ray or my x-ray show any damage...but I thought that added to this blog. :) I think this bruised knee is God's way of telling me to get my ass in gear on working on the baby room and to stop going out of town. LOL.

Nate Robinson wins Slam Dunk Contest

Nate Robinson is only 5 ft. 8, but he was still able to jump over the 7 foot tall Dwight Howard to win the Slam Dunk Contest. My question is...why would Howard help assist Robinson win the title when he was in the competition and defending his title? I guess it's not all that serious to him...
